Abstract

This article discusses a case study of a preterm baby with retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) who received intravitreal bevacizumab injection. The baby experienced vitreous hemorrhage in the left eye immediately after the injection, but it resolved over time without the need for vitrectomy. The article highlights the effectiveness of intravitreal bevacizumab injection in managing ROP and emphasizes the importance of close monitoring for recurrence or progression. The potential complications and unknown systemic side effects of the injection in premature infants are also mentioned. [Extracted from the article]
