Abstract
- A recent study conducted at Weill Cornell Medicine Cornell University examined the association between prenatal respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccination and perinatal outcomes. The study found that the nonadjuvanted bivalent RSV vaccine was not associated with an increased risk of preterm birth (PTB) or other adverse perinatal outcomes. However, there was a slightly increased risk of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP) in the time-dependent model. These findings support the safety of prenatal RSV vaccination, but further research is needed to investigate the risk of HDP. [Extracted from the article]
