Abstract

The article focuses on improving the peer review process in academia by analyzing a year's worth of reviews to understand how academics evaluate each other's work. Topics include the challenges of peer review as an under-taught skill, the growing demand for reviewers amid an increasing number of journals and Ph.D. graduates, and the varying levels of feedback provided by reviewers, with suggestions for enhancing clarity and effectiveness in the review process.
