Abstract

Designer Anthi Grapsa has transformed an Edwardian terrace home in North London using reclaimed and salvaged materials. The house features a sitting room, library/music room, kitchen/dining area, cloakroom, utility room, study, four bedrooms, and two bathrooms. Grapsa's design incorporates vintage furniture, reclaimed flooring, and bespoke cabinetry, while also restoring original features such as pine floors and staircase spindles. The clients' priorities were restoring the floors and renovating the main bathroom, which inspired the overall aesthetic of the house. The kitchen was redesigned to create a light and airy space for cooking and entertaining. Grapsa's design style focuses on reusing materials and incorporating color, while also considering modern living. The project resulted in a cohesive and intentional aesthetic throughout the house, with the library/music room serving as a cozy retreat for the homeowners. [Extracted from the article]
