Abstract

This article is a review of the book "Some Like It Cold" by Elle McNicoll. The story follows 18-year-old autistic protagonist Jasper Montgomery, who secretly plans to drop out of college to pursue her passion for design. While her family expects her to attend law school, Jasper is distracted by her older sister's engagement and creates a list of things to do before leaving her hometown. At the same time, Arthur Lancaster, a teen filmmaker, aims to make a documentary about the town. When Jasper and Arthur's paths cross, their plans are forced to change. The book is described as a cozy love story with elements of a Hallmark holiday rom-com. The main characters are portrayed as white, and the target audience is ages 13 and up.
