Abstract
- Information on the conference titled History of Programming Languages is presented. The event was intended to initiate the preservation of a historical record of the development of thirteen programming languages. The conference preprints contained thirteen papers on the history of the various languages. The conference was attended by 350 people, most of whom had entered the computing field within the last ten years.
