Abstract
- This article discusses the identification markers of activated myofibroblast subsets in the human lung fibrosis ecosystem through integrated omics analysis. The study utilized single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) to analyze the phenotypic and functional characteristics of human pulmonary fibrosis (PF). The researchers identified the dynamic changes in the extracellular matrix (ECM) and potential markers of myofibroblasts using a polynomial regression model. Additionally, bulk RNA-seq analysis identified eight new activating markers of myofibroblasts. The findings suggest that understanding the contributions of ECM and myofibroblast subsets could lead to potential therapeutic targets for PF. [Extracted from the article]
