On G-power automorphisms of the nilpotent residual of a finite group.

Let G N be the nilpotent residual of a group G. Then L(G) is the set of all elements in G which induce power automorphisms on G N by conjugation, and G is called an L -group if G = L (G) . In this paper, L(G) and L -groups are studied. In particular, the structures of L -groups and minimal non- L -groups are described. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
