Abstract

A recent study conducted by Kasetsart University in Bangkok, Thailand, has found that Gynura procumbens leaves, a traditional herb, may have anti-cancer effects. The study focused on a 7-year-old chihuahua dog with multiple cutaneous mast cell tumor grade III masses. After undergoing chemotherapy, the dog experienced recurrent tumors, but responded well to an alternative natural therapy using Gynura procumbens leaves. The herbal treatment helped stop the growth of tumors, prevent micro-metastasis, and relieve the dog's symptoms. Further information on this research can be obtained from Kasetsart University.
