Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University in China explored the efficacy of a combination treatment for preventing ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) in high-risk women. The treatment involved a cocktail of GnRH-antagonist, letrozole, and mifepristone. The study, which included 170 women, found that the combination treatment significantly reduced the incidence of moderate and severe OHSS compared to a group that received only mifepristone. The treatment also resulted in decreased serum estradiol levels, ovarian diameter, and luteal phase. However, there was no significant difference in cumulative live birth rates between the two groups. [Extracted from the article]
