Abstract

In recent years, digital technologies have become increasingly popular in all sectors when using Learning Management Systems (LMS) for online learning environments. Meanwhile, in previous studies, there needs to be more research on using bibliometrics to visually analyze the areas of learning management systems in education. The main purpose of this study was to conduct a bibliometric analysis of the state of the art of learning management systems in Education from the Scopus database. The present research was created using VOSViewer to visualize the data, and Harzing's Publish or Perish to generate and evaluate citation metrics. A total of 3975 articles from 1985 to 2022. The findings indicated that the learning management system provides an advanced online learning system, knowledge quality, competency assessment, and globalization influences, allowing students to access self-study anywhere and anytime. These articles have the potential to generate significant new knowledge and insights for this study. In the future, this study can be utilized as a preliminary step for exploring the relevance of this area. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
