Abstract
- A case report from Nippon Medical School in Tokyo, Japan, discusses the development of IgA vasculitis in a 73-year-old man with advanced lung squamous cell carcinoma who was receiving carboplatin, nab-paclitaxel, and pembrolizumab treatment. The patient experienced symptoms such as purpura, joint swelling, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, along with acute kidney injury and elevated protein levels. Skin biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of IgA vasculitis, which was determined to be an immune-related adverse event induced by the treatment. The report emphasizes the importance of regular monitoring and considering the possibility of immune-related adverse events in patients receiving immune checkpoint inhibitors.
