Generation X and Z Disparities in the Therapeutic Alliance (Updated August 8, 2024).

A review of 26 studies was conducted to examine the stability of the therapeutic alliance between individuals from Generation X and Generation Z. The review found that generational differences can negatively impact the therapeutic relationship and overall treatment effectiveness. To address this issue, relational cultural therapy (RCT) is suggested as a method to bridge generational conflicts.
