Abstract

A recent research report from the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) General Hospital in Beijing, China, discusses the treatment of common iliac artery aneurysm (CIAA) with a narrow inner lumen using a novel surgeon-modified inner branch iliac branch device (IIBD). The study found that the IIBD technique has lower anatomical requirements for the CIA, making it a feasible option for preserving the internal iliac artery (IIA) in cases of CIAA with a narrow inner lumen. The research was funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Beijing Science and Technology Planning Project.
