Abstract

Interior designer Greg Natale was commissioned to transform a traditional 1950s townhouse in London's Chelsea. The house had been stripped of its decorative elements, so Natale reintroduced French paneling, moldings, and dentil cornicing, as well as creating new archways to add architectural interest. The owner's love for feminine and pretty aesthetics influenced the pastel color palette of pinks, lilacs, and mint against a warm white backdrop, with Chinoiserie patterns adding a touch of whimsy. In contrast, the basement was designed with the husband's preference for strong colors, featuring a burgundy media room, study, and cellar. Natale balanced the overall design with timber features, clean-lined furniture, and contemporary Italian, Danish, and Swedish pieces. [Extracted from the article]
