Abstract

A recent systematic literature review conducted by researchers at the University of Bristol explores the impact of humanlike service robots on consumer behavior. The review analyzes 118 peer-reviewed journal papers to understand how the design and features of these robots influence consumer interactions and biases. The researchers propose a comprehensive framework that identifies interaction antecedents, consumer processing factors, outcomes of the interactions, and strengthening/attenuating factors. The study concludes by suggesting future research directions to advance knowledge in this field. This research has been peer-reviewed and provides valuable insights into the marketing and consumer research aspects of service robot anthropomorphism. [Extracted from the article]
