Abstract
- A report from Chongqing University in the People's Republic of China discusses a new framework called Causal Intervention-based Multihead Attention network (CaIMA) for enhancing the explainability of medical image diagnosis. The framework focuses on the transparent and reasonable decision-making process of classification results, which is important for medical diagnosis. It consists of three key components: a multi-region attention module, an attention-driven data augmentation module, and a causal intervention module. The research concludes that CaIMA is effective in terms of diagnosis accuracy and explainability, based on comparisons with state-of-the-art methods on various medical image datasets.
