Abstract
- A recent report from the Scientific Research Institute discusses cor triatriatum dexter, a rare congenital heart anomaly where the right atrium is divided into two chambers by a membrane. The clinical manifestations of this condition vary depending on the degree of atrium separation and the presence of other anomalies. The researchers present a case of asymptomatic cor triatriatum dexter diagnosed through transthoracic echocardiography, with the diagnosis confirmed by transesophageal echocardiography, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging. The study concludes that transthoracic echocardiography is a sensitive primary diagnostic tool for this congenital heart disease. [Extracted from the article]
