Abstract

This article discusses the use of ultrasound mapping and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the diagnosis of endometriosis. The study was conducted at a University Hospital between 2016 and 2023, with 630 patients evaluated using ultrasound mapping and 84 patients undergoing MRI as a complementary imaging technique. The results showed that ultrasound mapping identified a higher percentage of abnormalities in both the anterior and posterior compartments compared to MRI. The authors conclude that ultrasound mapping and MRI are complementary tools in the diagnosis of endometriosis. [Extracted from the article]
