Abstract

The article reviews sleep osteotomies in the setting of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) deficiency. Topics discussed include importance of increased posterior tibial slope (PTS) in the setting of ACL graft failure, definition and measurement of PTS, biomechanical rationale of PTS, indications and contraindications for another closing-wedge, slope-reducing osteotomy, preoperative planning for PTS, biplanar slope-altering osteotomies in complex deformities, clinical outcomes and complications.
