Abstract

Swedish artist Stina Folkebrant and David Naranjo, a Native American artist from Santa Clara Pueblo, collaborated on a new mural at the Museum of Contemporary Native Art in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The mural, titled "Okhúwa Munu: A Dialogue Between Cultures and Nature," depicts a time before the arrival of settlers and incorporates symbols for clouds, rain, and eagle feathers. The artists worked intuitively, with Folkebrant's organic painting style complementing Naranjo's linear designs. The mural is immersive and showcases the creative energy of the artists and the natural world they depict. [Extracted from the article]
