Researchers at Changchun University of Chinese Medicine have conducted a study on the sesquiterpenes found in Dendrobium nobile, a species of the genus Dendrobium that is used as both a medicinal herb and healthy food. Using advanced chromatography and mass spectrometry techniques, they were able to characterize 594 sesquiterpene compounds, including six new compounds.
