Abstract
- A study conducted at the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University in China examined the use of rigid gas-permeable contact lenses (RGPCL) in children under the age of 6. The study found that 51.4% of the children stopped wearing the lenses, with 47.2% discontinuing within 3 months. The duration of lens wearing was correlated with abandonment, and a higher parental education level was found to be a protective factor against discontinuation. The researchers concluded that communication and supervision should be strengthened to improve the continuity of RGPCL use in young children. [Extracted from the article]
