Abstract

The article introduces the mechanism and application of advanced oxidation technology using vacuum ultraviolet radiation (VUV, 254 +185 nm) to degrade pollutants in water using aquatic life oxidizing substances, as well as its application in the water treatment industry. It also includes VUV radiation to produce oxygen or ozone in the air. This article provides an overview of the advantages and limitations of the VUV process, as well as the main factors affecting decolonization. It also looks forward to its possible applications and future development directions in water treatment, providing reference for subsequent research on vacuum ultraviolet organic dye wastewater and proposing research suggestions.
