Abstract
- This study presents a modified SEIR differential equation model where a vaccination program is being implemented to a population compartmentalized based on geographic location. The resulting system of differential equations is solved numerically for different scenarios to determine the impact of the disparities in vaccine efficacy and rollout rates. The outcomes of the different scenarios are assessed based on the overall cumulative infections. Our simulations show that the best scenario happens when multiple cities share resources: vaccines with high efficacy should be equally distributed and vaccine rollout should proceed at the same pace everywhere.
