Abstract
- Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky's visit to the U.S. to seek support from both presidential candidates nearly went off track when he visited an arms factory in Scranton, Pennsylvania, alongside the state's Democratic governor. The Trump campaign took offense to the venue, as Scranton is President Joe Biden's hometown. Trump accused Zelensky of siding with the Democrats and called him the "greatest salesman" in history. Despite this, Zelensky secured a fresh package of U.S. aid worth $7.9 billion and had a meeting with Trump, which inspired optimism among his team. However, some officials close to Zelensky expressed less hope for the future, regardless of the election outcome. [Extracted from the article]
