Abstract
- A recent report from Ningbo University in Zhejiang, China explores the genetic associations between lipid profiles, immune cell phenotypes, and coronary artery disease (CAD) risk. The study utilized a comprehensive Mendelian randomization approach and analyzed data from large-scale genome-wide association studies. The findings suggest that certain immune cell phenotypes, specifically HLA DR+ natural killer cells, may play a role in the lipid-CAD causal pathway, highlighting potential new targets for therapy. However, further evidence is needed to confirm these findings. [Extracted from the article]
