Abstract

The relevance of the history of innovation and change management is in the fact that this topic explores the evolution of approaches from classical theories to modern practices. It analyses how various historical events and technological breakthroughs have influenced the development of management strategies aimed at adapting businesses to new conditions and challenges. The Disruptive Innovation Theory by Clayton M. Christensen 'The Innovator's Dilemma' (1997). Clayton Christensen proposed the concept of disruptive innovation, which explains how new technologies or business models can disrupt traditional markets and organisations. He showed how large companies can lose their positions if they do not adapt to innovative changes, even if they focus on improving their products. The purpose of the study is to examine the theoretical and practical aspects of the history of innovation and change management: from the birth of ideas to modern transformational practices. Objectives of the study: to analyse the stages of formation of innovation management as management of innovations and changes in the formation of innovation management; 2) to study the impact of the latest technologies on approaches to change management in modern conditions. 3) to identify modern transformational practices in innovation and change management. The theoretical significance of the study lies in the contribution of new knowledge and approaches to the existing scientific base. In the case of adaptive management, this may include the development of new concepts. The formation of new theoretical models of adaptive management takes into account modern challenges, such as digitalisation, globalisation and rapid technology change. Identification of new approaches to managing organisations that can be applied in various industries to increase their adaptability and competitiveness. The practical significance of the study lies in the application of the obtained results to solve real management problems and improve management practices. Thus, the theoretical significance of the study ensures the development of scientific knowledge in the field of adaptive management, while the practical significance contributes to the efficiency of management activities in practice.
