Abstract

A recent study conducted at the Clinical Research Center has provided new insights into liver transplants, specifically in pediatric patients. The study focused on the successful application of percutaneous endoscopic cholangioscopy and electrohydraulic lithotripsy for hepatolithiasis, a condition involving the presence of gallstones in the bile ducts, after liver transplantation. The case report highlighted the effectiveness of this method in accurately identifying and removing intrahepatic stones without the need for surgical intervention. The study is particularly relevant as there is currently limited literature on this approach in pediatric liver transplant cases. [Extracted from the article]
