Abstract

The article investigates the impact of urbanization on indigenous carnivorous plant species in Bhubaneswar Smart City in Odisha, India. The study observes the effect of infrastructure construction activities on the abiotic and biotic components of the native ecosystem and on indigenous species and terrestrial insect diversity that threatens carnivorous plant diversity. It also examines the role of carnivorous plants as ecological indicator.
