New Intellectual Disability Study Findings Have Been Reported from Children's Hospital of Nanjing Medical University (Analysis of video electroencephalography and imaging characteristics in children with drug-refractory epilepsy).

A recent study conducted at Children's Hospital of Nanjing Medical University in China focused on comparing the detection rates of epileptogenic foci in children with drug-refractory epilepsy using video electroencephalography (VEEG), MRI, and PET. The study found that lengthening VEEG time and increasing the number of times of VEEG can increase the detection rate of epileptiform discharges and clinical seizures. Additionally, PET/CT or PET/MRI and VEEG can provide localization information for children with negative MRI results.
