Abstract
- A study conducted by Ajou University School of Medicine in Suwon, South Korea, examined the impact of social distancing policies on pediatric emergency ophthalmic severity during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research found that there was an inverse association between social distancing policies and ophthalmic severity, with an increase in severe cases despite an overall decline in eye-related emergency department visits. The study concluded that for every 10-point increase in the Government Response Stringency Index (GRSI), there was a 20.0% decrease in high severity cases. [Extracted from the article]
