Abstract

A recent study conducted at the University of Bordeaux focused on characterizing individual resting state thought profiles (RSTPs) in a cohort of 1779 French university students. The research aimed to identify recurrent RSTPs that could be predicted by personality traits and subsequent negative affective states. Findings suggested that psychological maturity and trait negative affectivity interact to influence the probability of experiencing specific RSTPs, with implications for understanding the contribution of RSTPs to resting-state functional connectivity paradigms in psychology and psychiatry. The study was funded by various organizations, including the Nouvelle-Acquitaine Regional Council and the University of Bordeaux's IdEx program. [Extracted from the article]
