Granuloma Annulare: Comorbidities and Treatment.

Granuloma annulare (GA) is a inflammatory, non-infectious granulomatous skin disorder. Recent studies have found that GA can be associated with cardiometabolic diseases, atopic diseases, malignancy, autoimmune diseases and psychiatric comorbidities. GA is potentially self-limited, and treatment is not always necessary. Management of generalized GA is challenging and is further complicated by the paucity of evidence-based therapies. Topical and intralesional corticosteroids are first-line treatments for GA. Biogics and small molecular drugs are promising new therapeutic options in recalcitrant GA.
