Abstract
- A study conducted at Cairo University focused on the impact of Helicobacter pylori eradication on the serum level of valproic acid in children with idiopathic generalized epilepsy. The research involved 100 children with epilepsy and found that eradication of H. pylori led to a significant increase in serum VPA levels and a decrease in epileptic attacks per month. The study suggests that H. pylori screening for children with epilepsy could optimize serum VPA levels and potentially improve seizure control. [Extracted from the article]
