Abstract
- The research conducted at the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago focused on the association between high-sensitivity troponin I (hsTnI) and N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NTproBNP) with treated acute rejection (AR) and graft loss in pediatric heart transplant recipients. The study found that hsTnI was higher in patients with AR compared to those without AR, and elevated NTproBNP was associated with graft loss. These findings suggest that hsTnI may be valuable for non-invasive AR surveillance in pediatric heart transplant recipients. [Extracted from the article]
