A recent study conducted at Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt, explored the effectiveness and safety of using 5-Fluorouracil (5FU) as an adjuvant therapy for treating vitiligo. The meta-analysis of 10 studies involving 302 patients found that the combination of 5FU with microneedling showed superior efficacy in achieving over 75% repigmentation compared to other treatments.
