Abstract
- A study conducted in India by the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics examined the prevalence of anemia, hypertension, and diabetes among pregnant women using data from the National Family Health Survey-4. The research found that 25.9% of pregnant women had anemia, while 4.4% had hypertension and 2.4% had diabetes. Socio-economic factors were identified as significant determinants of these conditions, with older women and those from lower wealth quintiles being at higher risk. The study emphasized the importance of early screening and tailored management strategies to reduce maternal and reproductive complications. [Extracted from the article]
