Abstract
- The article critiques the coloniality embedded in traditional study abroad (SA) programs and argues for a decolonized approach to better serve Latinx and BIPOC students. Topics include the reimagining of SA spaces to support identity-affirming experiences for Latinx students, the practical strategies for creating heritage-seeking programs in Latin America, and the importance of local community engagement in rethinking SA program design.
