Abstract

A recent study conducted at Shinshu University in Matsumoto, Japan, focused on the endoscopic evacuation of putaminal hemorrhage using the trans-middle temporal gyrus approach. The research highlighted the safety and feasibility of this approach in managing complex cases of putaminal hemorrhage that extend into the temporal lobe. By utilizing innovative techniques and equipment, the endoscopic trans-middle temporal gyrus approach allowed for effective hematoma evacuation and hemostasis without complications, showcasing its potential benefits in minimizing damage to normal brain tissue. This study was supported by the Japanese Foundation for Research and Promotion of Endoscopy and has been peer-reviewed for publication in the Journal of Neurological Surgery Part A Central European Neurosurgery.
