Abstract
- A recent study conducted at the Medical University of Vienna focused on Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI) and the limitations of current diagnostic methods in visualizing microvenous pathologies. The research highlighted the potential of Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography (OCTA) as a non-invasive solution to visualize cutaneous microvasculature in CVI patients. The study, which included 66 subjects, revealed significant microangiographic pattern variations among different CVI stages, providing valuable insights for future disease progression risk assessment. This research contributes to the ongoing efforts to enhance diagnostic techniques for cardiovascular diseases like CVI. [Extracted from the article]
