Abstract
- Researchers from the Department of Pharmacy in Haikou, China, have conducted a study on the biological activities of crude venom extracted from five species of South China Sea anemones. The study found that the venom from Heteractis magnifica exhibited the most potent activities, including analgesic, hemolytic, and cytotoxic effects. These findings have implications for the development of novel drugs, including anticancer medications and biopesticides, utilizing resources from South China Sea anemones.
