Abstract

A recent study conducted at the University of Pennsylvania focused on obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and the use of drug-induced sleep endoscopy (DISE) to guide therapeutic management. The research aimed to assess collapse sites in OSA patients undergoing DISE and found that intervention should target the primary site of pharyngeal collapse. The study concluded that future work is needed to define the difference in primary and secondary collapsibility for multilevel treatment. [Extracted from the article]
