Abstract
- A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Queensland in Australia examined the treatment gap for Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) in Parkinson's Disease (PD) across high-income countries. The study found that PD-DBS utilization was highest in Australia and the USA, while it was lowest in Korea and New Zealand. The research highlighted disparities in access to DBS for PD patients among different high-income countries, emphasizing the importance of improving access to effective treatments for PD.
