Abstract
- Researchers from the Russian Academy of Sciences conducted a study on the efficacy of combining Metformin and intranasal insulin to treat rats with cafeteria diet-induced obesity. The study found that this combination normalized body weight, restored glucose homeostasis, and improved insulin sensitivity in the rats. The research concluded that a combined course of Metformin and low-dose intranasal insulin showed promise in correcting metabolic and hormonal indices in diet-induced obesity without negative effects on the thyroid axis.
