Abstract

A recent study conducted at the University of Campania 'Luigi Vanvitelli' in Italy focused on the biological properties of Clinopodium nepeta subsp. glandulosum, a Turkish herbal tea traditionally used for various medicinal and culinary purposes. The study found that different extracts of C. nepeta exhibited antioxidant properties, enzyme inhibition capabilities, and contained beneficial compounds such as acacetin derivatives and ursolic acid. While the research suggests potential therapeutic applications for these extracts, further studies are needed to assess their safety profiles.
