Abstract
- Researchers from the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES) conducted a study on the relationship between social deprivation and access to catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation (AF) in Ontario, Canada. The study found that greater material deprivation and residential instability were associated with more AF diagnoses but less access to ablation, indicating significant social disparities in equitable AF care. The research, published in JACC: Advances, highlighted the need for addressing social gradients in healthcare access for AF patients. [Extracted from the article]
