Abstract

This study analyzes the cooling performance of extruded aluminum profile water-cooled plates based on the STAR CCM-software and optimizes the design of liquid cooled plates based on the analysis results. By changing the width and shape of the flow channel, the highest temperature of the module decreased from 34.1 °C to 33.1 °C, and the lowest temperature decreased from 26.3 °C! to 25.9 °C, a decrease of 1 °C and 0.4 °C respectively. The temperature difference of the module has decreased from 7.8 °C to 7.2 °C. The cooling performance of the liquid cooling plate has been significantly improved, effectively reducing the temperature difference of the module. This provides a reference for improving the safety of power batteries, extending their service life, and optimizing the structure of extruded aluminum liquid cooling plates. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
