Abstract
- Prevalent uncertainties in multi-phase modeling are investigated. Toward this, the critical role of interface capturing strategy is demonstrated for realistic flow determination. Numerical modeling of the plume is discussed through the impact of various forces and uncertainties associated with them. Finally, results from different turbulence modeling approaches are compared to ascertain the adequacy of Reynolds averaged modeling vis-à-vis large eddy simulation within the domain of eddy viscosity-based modeling.
