Abstract
- The article in Chemistry - A European Journal discusses the use of tailor-made perylene diimides (PDIs) to passivate and protect black phosphorus (BP) nanosheets from oxidative degradation. By noncovalently adsorbing PDIs onto the BP sheets, they can be shielded from oxygen and moisture, preventing the formation of phosphoric and phosphorous acids. The research, conducted by a team of authors, highlights the importance of van der Waals interactions in this protective process. Readers interested in further details can refer to the Research Article by F. Fernández‐Lázaro, A. Hirsch, and their colleagues. [Extracted from the article]
